And although sometimes he says things that are ridiculous (e.g. “Will is an elitist”), I’m amazed by how much of his vocabulary and ideas about education overlap with mine. Words like “empowerment” and “self-direction” and “trained helplessness” are dropped in places and ways I wasn’t really expecting.

It’s nice. And it connects interestingly to the development of my own ideas; I’m curious to work out what selects for the things I violently disagree with him on.
