I’m Alec Resnick, and I develop software, write freelance, and make things. I’m making the tools and ideas I’ll need to start my own university. And you’ve found my blog. It’s in the midst of an overhaul, so a lot of the content that used to be up, isn’t. We should be back up and running in the next week.

I recently left MIT my last term as a mathematics and ancient/medieval studies student to start sprout. There’ll be a lot more on that, soon.

I prefer the company of children to most anyone else. I prefer dogs to cats. Cool Hand Luke is a hero of mine. If I were to date a fictional character, it would be Stargirl or Christine Jesperson. I am the happiest person I know. I wish people were more playful. I fly planes. Generally, people can do more than they think. Everything will be OK. I like angry, optimistic people: angry at what’s wrong with the world, optimistic and empowered when it comes to changing it (bonus points if you’re competent!).
